Our Gold Buying Process

1

Inspection

Bring your items to our store for a professional evaluation. We begin by inspecting each piece to determine metal content, gemstone presence, condition, and marketability.
2

Weighing & Testing

We carefully test and weigh your gold and precious metals using professional equipment to accurately determine purity and precious metal content.
3

Market-Based Pricing

Your offer is calculated using current gold market prices and the purity of each item. We believe in a transparent process and are happy to explain how values are determined.
4

Choose Your Payout

Once you’ve reviewed the offer, you can choose store credit or cash/check.*

*Once you’ve accepted your offer, the choice is yours. Many customers choose store credit because it often provides greater value and can be applied toward a custom piece, an upgrade, or something new. If you prefer, we’re also happy to provide immediate payment by cash or check.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended to ensure adequate time for a thorough evaluation, though walk-ins may be accommodated when available.

Can I sell broken jewelry?

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, damaged rings, and scrap gold are often valuable based on precious metal content.

Do you buy diamonds and gemstones?

We evaluate diamonds, gemstones, and estate jewelry in addition to precious metals. We do not buy any lab grown diamonds or gemstones. We buy natural diamonds and gemstones, in-store only.

Is store credit worth more?

In many cases, store credit can provide greater value than a direct purchase offer. We'll explain all available options during your appointment.

How long does the process take?

Most evaluations can be completed during your visit, depending on the quantity and complexity of items being reviewed.

Can I combine the gold and diamonds in old pieces to make a new one?

Absolutely! Please see our custom jewelry page for the process of our jewelry creation. While we don't do in-house casting, you can apply the value of your gold to the cost of the project and build around your diamonds/gemstones.
